Multi Source Image

Elliott Chin

The face and the fabric goes great as to burn something from anything. The color especially stands with the face and the fabric blending into an illusion.

  1. I’m not really getting a specific feeling towards this, maybe because I only see one thing different about this picture. I’m wondering which part is scanned in, which part in a picture that the artist took, and which part was an image found online. The idea is cool though, with the face inside the car door. It seems like the face is almost stuck inside the door.

  2. The bright red and the very sharp reflections of the lights that hit the car give a sharp feeling for the whole image, while the blurry reflections of the viewer’s side blend into that sharpness. It’s kind of mysterious how the image in the middle is bit hard to recognize.

  3. Cars lover who sees a dent on this car in a shape of someone’s portrait/face.

  4. Interesting image. It doesn’t look like a face on the car until you study it a bit.

  5. Cool collage. At first glance I could not understand the portrait. I would like to see a different face, and also I would erase the reflexion of the feet and legs. I like the mystery look

  6. I didn't know what was in the car door when I was looking at it. I like the reflection of yourself in the car too.

  7. I like the idea that the dent being an actual face gives emotion to the cars “pain”

  8. The feeling I got was that somebody really needs to be looking where they are going.

  9. I don’t really get it. Is the face supposed to be a larger than life version of the photograher’s face being reflected?

  10. Odd and subtle. A mix of the mundane, surprise and sly wit.

  11. Judging from the other comments, the concept is a good one - but I can't see it. I still haven't had a chance to look at it with my reading glasses on, so maybe that's the problem.

  12. I like the idea of making a dent in the side of the car, and it’s hilarious that you scanned your face to use as the dent.

  13. I like the idea and concept how all images go together. It gives me opposed feelings. It looks somewhat cruel at the same time it looks hilarious.

  14. I like the distortion in the face a lot. I also like that at first glance it looks like a normal picture but when you take a closer look it has this surreal aspect to it.

  15. The picture that’s been added to the driver door gives it a very modern paint job appearance. If you focus on the vehicle its self from the windows down it almost looks like a video game.

  19. Ohh he must have been so angry when he saw that dent in his car he just had to take a picture! haha. just kidding. The dent is obviously photoshopped otherwise i think he'd be too angry to use this picture for his project. I wouldn't want to be reminded of having to get it repaired! hehehe. Red is an awesome color to photograph. Really makes the image pop! I also like how i can see the reflection of his shoes.
